imchari is one of the most popular eco-tourism and scenic destinations in Cox's Bazar, located just 12 kilometers south of Cox's Bazar town along the world-famous Marine Drive Road. Celebrated for its unique fusion of lush green tropical rainforest hills on one side and the endless blue horizon of the Bay of Bengal on the other, Himchari offers breathtaking natural beauty. Declared a protected national park in 1980, Himchari National Park spans over 1,729 hectares of evergreen forest, serving as a vital sanctuary for various wildlife including Asian elephants, wild boars, monkeys, and numerous species of tropical birds. A key highlight is Himchari Hill, accessible via a well-paved flight of stairs leading to a high hilltop viewpoint. From the peak, visitors enjoy an astounding, unobstructed view of the roaring ocean meeting the coastline. Additionally, the seasonal Himchari Natural Waterfall comes alive during the monsoon, adding to the charm of this popular stopover for tourists.
